If you need to train your staff in the use and safety of woodworking machine tools, or in basic woodworking machine maintenance, we have the expertise and the team to do it, at a competitive price.

We can visit your company, make a diagnosis and draw up a customized training proposal. You can also choose the type of machine tools you’d like to train your staff on, let us know and we’ll get back to you with a quote as soon as possible.

The aim of the training course is to enable machine tool users to acquire the knowledge they need to carry out their work with complete peace of mind and without apprehension.

The training objectives are to enable participants to discover the different functions of machine tools, to use appropriate and safe work methods, to use the right machine tool for the job, to understand and apply health and safety standards, to perfect work techniques and to master basic maintenance.

Target audience

All trades using machine tools applicable to woodworking.

Material

Materials can be supplied by the Institute at cost price, or by your company.

Group

To facilitate learning,
groups are composed of a maximum of
10 people.

Training location

Training can take place on your premises, or at our 1741 m2 facility at 14 rue Soumande, Suite 2-15, Quebec City.

Funding and grants

The IQÉ works closely with Emploi-Québec to offer its services to businesses. Various financial assistance programs are available through Emploi-Québec. Once you have received our offer of service, contact your local employment center (Centre Local d’Emploi) for funding of up to 50% of the cost.
