Mission

To offer the highest level of training in artisanal woodworking in Quebec.

Vision

To be known and recognized as Quebec’s benchmark in artisanal woodworking, training the very best woodworkers.

Values

Integrity

At IQÉ, integrity is expressed through respect for the work of others and for individuals, loyalty to the organization and to one’s peers, and honesty in making one’s intentions and plans known to others.

Commitment

The people who work at IQÉ demonstrate their commitment on a daily basis by being available to students, by getting involved in the school’s success, by helping each other, by passing on their passion for the woodworking trade and by constantly surpassing themselves.

Quality

IQÉ defines quality in terms of the expertise acquired by its students during their training, as evidenced by the aesthetics and complexity of the works produced by the Institute’s former students. Quality is also reflected in the experience of our teachers and our respect for the environment.
